During my CO-OP at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, I created an animated motion graphic advertisement to promote the launch of their new DCMP program. The ad successfully attracted high school graduates and helped fill the program to capacity.
Prodcution and design thinking steps:
Needs Assessment & Research – Identified key messaging goals by collaborating with academic staff and marketing to understand the program's unique value for prospective students.
Storyboarding & Scripting – Developed a compelling narrative structure tailored to a young audience, highlighting career outcomes, modern learning methods, and hands-on experience.
Visual Style Development – Created a clean, tech-forward visual identity aligned with the university's branding, using dynamic transitions and kinetic typography to maintain engagement.
Animation & Motion Design – Brought the story to life using Adobe After Effects, animating icons, text, and illustrations to clearly communicate complex information in a digestible format.
Sound Design & Voiceover – Integrated upbeat music and a professional voiceover to elevate the emotional appeal and credibility of the message.
Testing & Iteration – Gathered feedback from internal stakeholders and target viewers, refining visuals, pacing, and messaging to ensure clarity and impact.
Distribution Optimization – Exported versions tailored for Instagram, YouTube, and the university website, maximizing reach among high school graduates across digital platforms.
