Project Statement

Our VR Game Development project aimed to create an entirely original and immersive virtual reality experience from the ground up. We focused on designing a captivating storyline, innovative game mechanics, and a fully interactive environment, all implemented in Unity. The project was guided by a commitment to push the boundaries of VR technology, resulting in a game that not only engaged users but also received high acclaim from industry experts.

My Responsibilities

  • Project Lead: Oversaw the project from concept to completion, ensuring cohesive collaboration among team members and adherence to deadlines.
  • Unity Programming: Developed and implemented core game mechanics and interactive elements, focusing on seamless integration to enhance player experience.
  • Game Development: Spearheaded the game development process, designing and building a compelling and immersive virtual environment.
  • Sound Design: Composed and integrated dynamic soundscapes, creating an audio experience that deepened the immersion and emotional impact of the game.

Jury & Recognition

The game was evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry experts, including:

  • Matheus Vilano – Video Game Technical Designer, known for his work on Baldur's Gate III, Game of the Year winner at the 2024 Game Awards.
  • Zora Wang – Concept Artist and Layout Designer, with credits in Sausage Party, Rick and Morty, and Marvel's What If.
  • Max Salazaar – Lead Storyboard Artist for Superkitties, 2023 Children's & Family Emmy Awards Nominee.

Outcome:

Our project received an A+ grade, with unanimous praise from the jury. The experts highlighted the game’s innovative mechanics, cohesive storyline, and immersive audio-visual experience as standout features.
